X-Wool Antimicrobial Silver Socks from Knit-Rite Details
New from Knit-Rite
Virgin Wool - plaited inside with X-Static/Lycra blend. This amputee
sock features X-Static - The Silver Fiber, a high performance fiber
system made with pure silver. Silver is naturally antimicrobial, enabling
X-Static to safely inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and fungi
in the garment. Silver also has the best possible thermodynamic
properties, so your prosthetic leg stays cooler in the summer and
warmer in the winter.

Absorbent virgin wool is thick and cushioning. Lycra allows the
prosthetic sock to contour without stretching out and accommodates
leg flexion. Fleeced to add softness.

Hygienic Environment - Repels odor and infection - Including
antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Thermodynamic - Cooler in Summer, Warmer in Winter
Stretch Yarn
Absorbent and Wicking to keep limb dry
Anti-Static - Relieves pain and fatigue
Fleeced for Softness and Comfort

Thickness Color Coding:
3-Ply Yellow
5-Ply Green

Machine Washable - No Shrinkage, resilient cushioning, constant thickness.

Measuring for Knit-Rite Prosthetic X-Wool Stump Sock:
Nearly 90% of the amputees who use stump socks can be correctly
fitted with a stock size sock because the knitted construction has a
stretch which allows a fitting range. Nevertheless, some measurement
guidelines can be helpful.

Measure from the bottom end of your stump to the top of your
prosthetic socket. The length of the sock should be 2 to 4 inches
more than this measurement depending on the type of fitting and
suspension preference. You should not have to pull the amputee
sock too taut.
Measure your limb circumference at the "top" of the socket
Measure the "toe" limb circumference 2 inches up from the bottom
end

Use the table below to determine the correct
size sock for your limb.
